This gathering is not at Sacred Roots.

Enjoy a potluck picnic, nature and the beautiful weather (Winter’s coming) while getting some outdoor exercise and bonding with the community. We will hike to the beach, 2.4 miles round trip (~ 1 hr.), with options for a longer hike. The trail goes through moderately steep sand dune. There is no portable water along the trail. We will hangout at the lakeshore and return to the shelter for salah and picnic by 1:00 PM.

Activities may include: Hiking, potluck picnic, beach volleyball, beach soccer, and/or swimming in Lake Michigan (if weather permits).

What to bring:

Sunscreen
Reusable waterbottle
Snacks

Note: Carpooling is encouraged.

The National Park charges an entrance fee $12 per vehicle.
